Shillingford is a general surgeon who specializes in advanced laparoscopic and obesity surgery.
He is board certified by the American Board of General Surgery.Dr.
Shillingford started his academic career with a bachelors in Biology at the University of Michigan, and graduated from the University of Michigan’s Medical School in Ann Arbor on a medical school tuition scholarship.
He then proceeded to do his residency in general surgery at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
This was followed by a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and obesity surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida.
